The free training to support National Disability Insurance Scheme providers in Victoria to engage with clients from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds have ended.

Funded by the Department of Health and Human Services, 23 sessions were delivered to around 450 disability services providers across Victoria. Sophie Dutertre and Spase Veljanovski travelled by plane to Mildura, train to Morwell, bicycle to Maidstone and combination of other transport modes elsewhere. Mary Gavranic supplied the statistics for each relevant region where the training was delivered.

If you missed out on the workshops you will find useful resources such as the Glossary of Disability Terminology, Using Interpreters in the NDIS Fact Sheet and many others here.
