We’re excited to announce that CEH’s Long COVID project has received a six month funding extension.  It is funded by the  Victorian Department of Health.

As well as the 10 communities and 7 Local Government Areas (LGAs) that were the focus of the program last year, we will now work with the Turkish, Arabic-speaking and Pasifika communities. The project will also be expanded to regional areas.

Thank you to Long COVID Project Officer Dr Ambereen Farouque for her excellent work over the past 6 months. The project has been met with enthusiasm by communities. Alongside resource development and workshops, the project has supported grass-root campaigns that raise awareness of Long COVID, led by members of these communities themselves.

Long COVID resources in community languages can be found here.

Dr Farouque will continue to deliver Long COVID information workshops for bicultural and bilingual workers.  Contact Dr Ambereen Farouque at ambereenf@ceh.org.au for more information.

We look forward to continuing to support communities across Victoria with Long COVID information.
