Harmony Day Celebration at the Centre for Culture, Ethnicity and Health

Teach-back via an interpreter

The Centre for Culture Ethnicity & Health and North Richmond Community Health celebrated the International day for the elimination of racial discrimination (Harmony Day) today with a barbecue in Richmond.

Members of the local community gathered to hear music, appreciate a welcome to country ceremony, enjoy some food and talk about the great benefits diversity has brought to the Richmond Community.

CEO of North Richmond Community Health, Demos Krouskos spoke about how honoured he was to be working with the many different communities in North Richmond and about being optimistic despite recent political activities overseas and in Australia that may lead some people to think that the elimination of racial discrimination was not the same priority as it once was.

The suns shone, many burgers were devoured and some good conversations were had. We hope you also were able to have some time to celebrate this day.
