Health Translations team
In 2024, the Health Translations Library proudly partnered with the North-Eastern Public Health Unit (NEPHU) on their Scholarship Program to improve access to Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) Services in Hume, Whittlesea, and the Yarra Ranges. The program included training from Sexual Health Victoria to build clinical confidence and equip GPs, nurses, and midwives with the skills to deliver inclusive, best-practice SRH care.

Throughout the scholarship webinars and as part of the program’s resource pack, the Health Translations team educated practitioners on how to navigate the library to provide multilingual, culturally appropriate health information to strengthen provider-patient communication. By ensuring health professionals have access to reliable translated materials, the library plays a key role in improving health literacy and supporting equitable access to care.

Are you looking to improve access to culturally and linguistically inclusive health resources? The Health Translations Library team is eager to collaborate with organisations on similar initiatives to support health equity in your community.
