Working Across Cultures in the Disability Sector
This 3-hour workshop specifically addresses the knowledge needs of services working with CALD communities and disability. Exploring their own culture and values through fun activities, participants reflect on how these can affect workplace interactions with CALD clients who have a disability, particularly in the context of the NDIS.
Finally, participants discuss strategies and tools for effective cross-cultural communication through the planning and implementation process, including when and how to use interpreters under NDIS funding.
