Health Literacy for Written Communication

Australian online health information is written above the level a year 12 student can understand. The average health consumer reads at a year 8 level.  Many read a level far below this. Australian written health information is far too complicated, and this means many consumers can’t understand and make good decisions about their health. In this workshop you will practice using Health Literacy tools and strategies to make written information, clearer and easier to understand.
