New, improved HEALTH TRANSLATIONS Online Library for Victoria’s culturally diverse communities.
To mark Cultural Diversity Week, 19-27 March 2022, The Centre for Culture, Ethnicity & Health (CEH) is excited to launch the new look and improved Health Translations website for a more superior online experience, making it easier to find multilingual resources in more than 100 languages.
Healthtranslations.vic.gov.au offers the most reliable and complete collection of multilingual health and wellbeing resources for those working with culturally and linguistically diverse communities.
As far as we know, it’s the only collection of its type in the world, and given the critical importance of accurate and timely information about COVID-19, testing and vaccination, Health Translations continues to be a high priority project for CEH in 2022.
CEH has been managing, maintaining and promoting the online library on behalf of the Victorian Department of Health since 2014. It provides free, translated health and wellbeing resources to health practitioners and people working with, or from culturally and linguistically diverse communities. It offers the most reliable and complete collection of multilingual consumer information produced by Australian organisations.
In response to users’ feedback, the site has an improved design and upgraded search function.
Other features include faster access and updates to the latest and most reliable health information, news & events as well as mobile friendly functionality and high-level platform accessibility for visitors using assistive technology.
There’s consistent navigation & user experience across government initiative websites and secure sharing of pages through social media accounts is also now available.
In short, the most comprehensive multilingual online library of its type in the world.
