The Asian Workers Network is a networking forum for Asian workers in the community health and welfare sector.
The forum will increase support to and collaboration between Asian workers. It is established and coordinated by the Multicultural Health & Support Service.
Aims
The Asian Workers Network will increase support for, and collaboration between, Asian workers in the community health and welfare sector.
Objectives
The key objectives of the Asian Workers Network are:
1. To conduct face-to-face meetings at least twice times a year with regular electronic communication between meetings.
2. To raise and discuss issues facing Asian workers in the community health and welfare sector and, where possible, identify and undertake actions addressing these issues.
3. To identify and address the professional development needs of AWN members where possible.
4. To share information about current and future projects and activities of network members.
5. To identify and develop collaborations and partnerships between network members.
