Multicultural mental health

From the personal to the political, we present four perspectives on mental health issues in multicultural communities.

First, a carer from a CALD background shares her experiences over the last 25 years. Two experts in mental health policy and strategy then address the national perspective on mental health issues, highlighting key government achievements and planned reforms. Finally a researcher investigates the phenomenon of suicidal behaviours in migrants.

You will hear about service models, research and interventions that can increase mental wellbeing and enhance the recovery of people of CALD backgrounds with mental illness.
