Violence against women and girls is one of the most widespread human rights violations in Australia.
Myths abound that family violence is ‘too sensitive' an issue to be raised with CALD communities, or that prevention campaigns will alienate men or divide families.
We challenge these myths with case studies from Western Australia and Melbourne's Jewish community, discuss prevention strategies at federal and state levels, and identify ways to involve multicultural and community leaders in social marketing campaigns.
